If you're not familiar with H.A. Kirsch you should know that he can be a little cruel to his characters. His characters tend to be kind of into this cruelty so it's not too bad for them, I suppose.This story isn't long so I finished reading it in two sittings. I didn't find the length to be an issue, though I would really like to know more about the characters' fates after the end!
I found the sex portions to be pretty satisfying! Not to sound too clinical but it did the job for me.
The writing is quite a bit better than a LOT of what you'd find in books of a similar price, in my opinion.

This book was really good! I'm impressed and did not expect the ending !
I liked that he was going to be transformed in the end, but it was frustrating that it wasn't seen through. Overall the story seemed like half a story.
